Hi Forum,

Is anyone aware of what information is returned on a Basic/Standard DBS check?

I was convicted of DR10 drink driving earlier this year and I am curious to know what information will be released. I understand that both the conviction and the sentence will be shown but wonder if the my alcohol reading would also be made known?

Thanks

Will

Hi Will

A basic check will show only unspent convictions.
A standard check will show spent and unspent convictions and
An enhanced check spent, unspent and additional police information.

A DR10 will become spent after 5 years.

The Certificate will only show details of the conviction and sentence/disposal but no additional information (i.e. alcohol readings).

Hope this helps.
