Anyone have views and opinions on whether the new Justice secretary David Gauke will be more receptive to reforming the criminal justice system, especially rehabilitation, than his predecessors?

+x+xAnyone have views and opinions on whether the new Justice secretary David Gauke will be more receptive to reforming the criminal justice system, especially rehabilitation, than his predecessors? I wouldn't say it's a view, as such, but you can check his voting record in the Commons here and here. There's quite a lot to wade through, so clear your diary.... Over the last couple of days, there has been media coverage saying that he is a safe pair of hands. If the government has a problem, they "uncork the Gauke" to do their firefighting for them. So, I'd guess he won't be controversial, but he probably won't be doing anything ground-breaking either. Could be worse, I suppose, says the man who was in prison when Gr*yling was in charge....
