Both Experian and Equifax (the 2 largest credit bureaus) will link new and old names IF they are provided with the information.
That is, if you change your name and notify any bank / insurance company / telco / electoral role which have your current details of your new name, they will report the new name and link.
The only way round it is to assume a new name and then open brand new clean accounts for everything, but of course that is hard to do without any credit history.
You are also linked to current and previous addresses
