Holidays with TUI

There is no requirement to tell the police who you have booked your holiday with. Looking at my last notification earlier this year you need to tell them the flight number, carrier and accommodation address in section 1.

Unless you are using a TUI branded flight or hotel then they won't know you are on a TUI holiday.

Section 2 does ask for a booking number and agent but this information is voluntary and you do not have to provide it.

Although it maybe just easier to book a flight and hotel yourself rather than through a tour operator.  You can often get the same selection of hotels and flights at a cheaper price.

Personally I am more worried about ETIAS next year as this may block travel to the EU

My PPU raised this with me on a visit this month.

She stated that if I booked through TUI then she would notify them and the holiday would be cancelled without any refunds.

I don't agree with this as the police shouldn't be policing private companies T&C's. I also don't know if all police forces are taking the view they need to inform TUI.

But if anyone is planning on booking with TUI I would check with your PPU first.

I use a campervan and a couple of years ago when discussing my plans I was advised to always check a "camping sites" T&C's as many have a clause in the small print.
I mainly wild camp so I am not sure what will happen in the future when new laws come in about notifying where one stays even for a single night. I dont think they will be too happy with the "rear of tesco carpark on the M6"

One day they must start to recognise there is a reason for terms "High, Medium and Low risk" and so should be monitored/ laws should be appropriate to that. Otherwise the thought that "rehabilitation is not possible" will be classed as factual and not dismissed as ignorance.

This is a subject that Unlock might want to publish some advice on, because it remains unclear what the position is.

Some people say they are not allowed to travel with TUI now, because it has recently banned anyone on the SOR. I looked at their T&C but can find nothing about this. Then there were further claims that it only applies to their hotels, not to flights.

Since a lot of different tour operators and airlines all come under the TUI banner, does this amount to a more widespread ban, I wonder?

Edit: Apparently all police forces in the country have been informed of this change but does the ban apply to their cruises only?  This is unclear.
