I also was never told that our passports are not tagged for the duration (in my case a 10 yr SOR), but for individual trips. Well it seems to me any persoanl assessment of who I am, has been completely ignored, and it has been easier for them just to issue a Green card for every trip !! I find this unfair and a slur on my character as they can clearly see I am a good person and would NEVER abuse ANYONE !! They even issued a green Card when I went on a Hurtigruten Norweigan cruise and when i travelled with a female friend. They are just taking zero risk

Has anyone else been in a similar situation?

RE: PPU Officers Risk assessment for Travel

Have you ever travelled to any high risk countries, like the Philipines? That may have raised your risk level in the eyes of the PPU. Certain countries are much more likely to attract a green notice and once in place, it lasts for 5 years.

RE: PPU Officers Risk assessment for Travel

+x
Harry53 - 28 Nov 24 2:23 PM

NOTE : An Interpol Green Notice: To provide warning about a person's criminal activities, where the person is considered to be a possible threat to public safety.

I thought the idea of having regular visits from pairs of PPU police officers was to assess the person's risk of committing further crimes when considering allowing them to travel. That means there is a concern that could be repeated and as such, the "Justice System" concentrates mainly on not repeating its own failure of judgement due to "re-offending rates" and societal repercussions.

All I can advise is that keep your self belief and pride that you believe you will not re-offend and wake each morning saying thank you for not doing so.
