Tried Listed Car Insurers

Hi,
Tried the list of insurers on here and all of them say cant insure me with online form, past 2 years only one that will was Admiral but would like a choice of insurers rather than just one, anyone got any ideas who else apart from ones stated on here or had any luck ?

Hi

After my release I was going to purchase a flat and fortuantely went through the deeds / leasehold etc before I finalised.

The building Insurance company did ask or rather stipulated that any person living there had to disclose unpsent convictions.
I discussed and raised data protection issues with this but to no avail.
I didn't purchase the property.

For home insurance they might want to know about everyone living in the property, but not for car insurance surely?

Exactly. It should be about the people covered by the policy, which is different for motor insurance.

Everyone does ask, if not directly it's listed in assumptions or policy conditions.
My understanding is an insurer not quoting is not declining. A current insurer cancelling cover is declining, so if this may arise make sure you cancel frst.

At my age I know that there are so many catches to this "game" but with LV I actually questioned before and afterwards and they confirmed my words. For clarity I just raise the subject as a third party not as an ex-offender.
Your point about "declines" is appropriate that is why many use a "broker". However with all approaches you will notice how unless you enquire immediately, the "question" doesn't come up until you have given them most of the details.

SIS for instance still held and discussed my offence after my notifcation time was exceeded. I had used them whilst I had to declare, left for a year then did a comparison. Think of that as you may.

In the end, society will punish long after the Courts have finished. But do not dispair.

I tried all listed on this site for car insurance no luck was done online from the sites, LV was the same as most others, most say motoring conviction which I dont have as it's a non motoring one.

What insurance do you need? Try comparison sites to give you a starting point. But, you're not going to get a huge choice!
