Yes, the second list needs to be taken with caution. It was released following our FOI - but see this link - https://hub.unlock.org.uk/types-offences-eligible-filtering/ - for the word of warning.

Essentially the reasons it's on there is because they made a mistake in removing it from someone's DBS, but because that list is a list of those that they've removed, that's why it's on there.

Battery is not eligible for filtering unfortunately. This means it will show up on an enhanced check, so for any employer that is doing an enhanced check, you'll need to tell them about it.

ok thank you,i was confused because this one said it would be filtered https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/most-common-offences-filtered-from-a-dbs-check

and this one said it wouldn't https://data.gov.uk/dataset/dbs-list-of-offences-that-will-never-be-filtered-from-a-criminal-record-check

wasnt sure which one was right.

i got a reprimand for battery in 2007 when i was 15, will it still show on a enhanced dbs check?
