Anyone out there struggling to move on with their lives after this kind of conviction and the stigma attached to you?

There are a few here dealing with stigmata for much serious offences, myself included. 

That's not to diminish the seriousness of drink driving as it can have catastrophic consequences but in my personal experience I've known quite a few who were caught over the limit and it was just shrugged off like a speeding conviction or a slap on the wrists. Obviyi don't know your situation but in itself it's a very common offence so don't beat yourself up over it, we can only learn from our experience and become better people.

I agree with Link. Whatever type of conviction you receive, it will have consequences not least having to explain it when applying for jobs and insurance and dealing with the attitudes of others. However, try not to beat yourself up about  it too much  - put it in the past and try to move on.
