Hi As I can demonstrate it can be down just to the attitude of the Judge.
Wrongly I was grouped together in a case of men who had paid for sex with the same female. No one knew each other.
I pleaded guilty and did not go to trial. One individual was tried and sentenced as an individual initially. He had more offences including videoing the female during the act. He got a 30 month non custodial sentence because the Judge stated the female looked and presented herself as someone a lot older.
I was kept on bail for 2 years whilst others went to trial. When eventually I appeared to be sentenced along side those individuals and a different Judge I got 4 years because the Judge said I should of investigated into her age more. Before you ask I was not on ANY joint indictments.
Judges have been chastised over their approach towards both the female victim and female offender. In modern society there is a strong belief - some of it supported - that the female has been victimised by the male population for eternity so psychologically, there is something else to attribute the cause of the offence to rather than in sex cases uncontrolled desire.
I will clarify I am not only a supporter of equal rights and beliefs for all human beings, but will constructively question and not just accept opinions, assumptions and perceptions presented by those with a political biased aim.
Society suggests I must let go of all my expectations but I disagree, as whilst I have a voice, I have hope.
Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope is for tomorrow else what is left if you remove a mans hope. ------------------------------
