I believe in 2014 certain police cautions were filtered out although the police still may disclose the caution to a potential employer regarding it if they feel the caution relevant, if anyone knows whether or not these cautions that have now been filtered out include carrying an offensive weapon please can they let me know?

Have a look there.

It depends on your age when you were cautioned, amongst other things.

Adult cautions are usually filtered after 6 years, and if you were under 18 at the time of caution 2 years, providing the offence is not on the list of 'cautions that will never be filtered' which you will find detailed guidance about on the link above.

It might help to go through all of the filtering guidance on the link as it can be confusing

Possession of an offensive weapon can be filtered, which would happen as described by Simmo. The "other information" is not to keep cautions for filterable offences on the certificate, it is for non-conviction and non-caution information, such as relevant Fixed Penalty Notices and intelligence/suspicions that haven't resulted in further action yet. Unlock have information and advice about this on their website here.
