A full criminal background check is unlikely, but a casual google search of the person's name is more of a possibility. Could be relevant, if you have an unusual name.

I don’t think I’ve ever heard of a supplier ever doing a criminal background check on a customer one thing to keep in mind though is a lot of suppliers will do credit checks so keep that in mind.
