An agitator has posted a petition to the government to stop offenders from applying to come off the Register.
When that has only got her 25,000 votes, she's now carpet-bombing twitter.
Not sure if anyone from Unlock is/was aware.

Laura Stewart on Twitter: "Paedophiles and rapists are successfully applying to be removed from the Violent and Sex Offenders Register despite being sentenced to a lifetime inclusion. Dorset Police approved 92% of applications from 2019-2022 If you want to change this, sign here https://t.co/31kklrF2WY https://t.co/PKzVtl0AhP" / Twitter

She comes across as a bit unhinged in some of her tweets as well as self labeling as "Truth-seeker, conspiracy theorist, and fighter for free speech" basically tells me all I need to know about her character.

She has a bout 2 weeks until the petition times out and she's nowhere near even half-way in signatures. Plus the government already responded to her saying while they appreciate her concerns they have no interest in changing the law.

As annoying as it is it isn't something I'd honestly worry too much about.

It's hilarious when 'fighers for free speech' won't hear the other side of the argument or, ironically, try to silence others.
If she 'sought the truth', she'd see why there was a whole swathe of people being successful in recent times after a change in the law.
That number year-on-year will fall dramatically once that batch has been completed, she can maybe claim a fake victory when it does.

If she had sought the truth, she would know that nobody is sentenced to "lifetime inclusion". That's why people have the right to apply to be removed. It also helps to explain why Dorset Police didn't remove 8% of applicants. Regulars will know there are threads on here about the sustainability of even the current arrangements.
