Hi all,

I’ve been on the SOR since 2021 and I am now finally ready to go on a trip outside the country. I’ve been too scared up to now, but I think I’m finally brave enough to give it a try.

So I’m thinking of a little trip to Berlin sometime next month.

Can anybody tell me what to expect in terms of processors and questioning etc. when I’m travelling?

I’m really apprehensive about the whole thing but feel it’s something I just need to face.

I was convicted aged 30 in 2021 of an historic offence of engaging in Oral Sex with my mate when we were kids I was 14 years old and he was 10 years old back in 2004, which he only came to the police about 17 years later. Automatically placed as low risk. No history of offending in my life otherwise and no SHPO or restrictions. Placed on SOR for 10 years.

Any advice on my travel plans and what I have to do prior to travel would be really greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi Parky
Things have changed since Brexit and the introduction of the new Etias arrangements due to be introduced. I think by the time you're hoping to travel
you should know in advance as to whether or not you will be admitted which will save a lot of embarrassment. There are plenty of threads on here related to this matter. Punter99 has his finger on the pulse of this and will doubtless be able to give you the latest updates.

There are no issues going to Europe at the moment. ETIAS does not come in until next year.
