So, the big day is on Wednesday and despite asking my solicitors and looking on the internet, I've not found a definitive list of what you are able to take to court for a possible time in prison.

I've also read you can bring cash for your in prison account, but no one states the top limit of this amount to take with you?

Has anyone either got a link to the information I need or can let me know from your own experiences from going to court.

Thank you.

Hi
As part of my way of processing this change in life style, I took one set of decent clothes that I wore to go to Court and leave prision in.
I did find "items" can go missing from the packs/boxes that the items you can't take to your cell are kept "securely in".
Also I found the 4 prisions I stayed in all had different rules (local).
A good but not expensive looking pair of trainers, socks and underware. This gave me a reminder that I was human. Smile
I din't bother with much "civilian clothes as I was not hoping to impress anyone.
You can always get things sent in _ after checking the local list - but can be more expensive for reasons you MAY find out.
Cash, I took £100 but you have to be careful because you may find others may discover how much you have in your "spend" and start asking for you to buy. Problem with prision is that there is too many dishonest people in it. Smile
In ways there is never a definiative list as it all depends how long you MAY go away for.

In ways the less you have the less that can go missing or get asked to loan someone and never get back!

Society suggests I must let go of all my expectations but I disagree, as whilst I have a voice, I have hope.

Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope is for tomorrow else what is left if you remove a mans hope.

Fortunately I didn't need my bag, but it was humbling to pack it anyway! I used the 2 links above and the 48 hours in custody article on StopSo to get a good idea.

What they don't tell you is when you go to court and have your bag opened and checked, the Razor, which is allowed in prison, certainly isn't allowed in the court, so might as well not bother buying that!

I got the best outcome for my amount of images (3 year community order, 5 year register/order 45 days RAR and 80 hours unpaid on 1007 images including 110 cat A).

Hi
All I can offer to you now is is my support for you to have a rethink on your offence, and for you to undertake anything and everything that will demonstrate, to not only the "authorities and society"; but yourself and those close to you that rehabilitation is not a myth!

Move on with your life with positivity, but never forget.
