Is this for car insurance? Why are they asking about people who live with you? That should not affect car insurance unless they are named on the policy.

Hi

After my release I was going to purchase a flat and fortuantely went through the deeds / leasehold etc before I finalised.

The building Insurance company did ask or rather stipulated that any person living there had to disclose unpsent convictions.
I discussed and raised data protection issues with this but to no avail.
I didn't purchase the property.

For home insurance they might want to know about everyone living in the property, but not for car insurance surely?

Exactly. It should be about the people covered by the policy, which is different for motor insurance.
