I have changed my name, but by marriage. Even so I am happy of this as there is still media content out there in me from 23 years ago. I have changed ever so much since 23 years ago and I am not who I was then.

In saying that and wanting to leave that old me behind, if for example I get stopped by the police in the car for a road check or alike in my new married surname - would my maiden name still flag up to the police?

Your maiden name would, if you were convicted under that name. Your married name would only flag up if they have it recorded and linked to your maiden name.

If you are to punish a man retributively you must injure him. If you are to reform him you must improve him. And men are not improved by injuries. (George Bernard Shaw)
