Let us hope the festive period is one were society sees beyond a label and recognisees that rehabilitation does happen.

Keep your belief in yourself and so stay strong to create a better life for yourself.

Society suggests I must let go of all my expectations but I disagree, as whilst I have a voice, I have hope.

Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope is for tomorrow else what is left if you remove a mans hope.

Wishing a happy Christmas (and other holidays) and New Year to everyone involved in this fantastic community.

Hi everyone

Just a notice that the Unlock Team will be unavailable over the festive period, starting from 4:45pm today until 08:45am on Friday 2nd January 2026 when our Helpline will reopen again.

2025 has been a busy year for Unlock, with our ROA at 50 briefing published, our formal response to the Independent Sentencing Review, the launch of our 'Unlock the Vote' campaign and the launching of our Right to be Forgotten briefing. In addition to this, our Better Advice for All project has gone from strength to strength with 20 grassroots community organisations now signed up to our Community Network and committing to work together with Unlock to transform the way underrepresented people within the criminal justice system access advice and information.

I am really looking forward to 2026 and what I know will be an exciting year of development, change and improvement here at Unlock - we're so excited to continue breaking down the barriers and helping people to overcome those hurdles in the New Year.




Whether you celebrate at this time of the year or not, we hope you have a restful couple of weeks and we're looking forward to speaking with you all again in 2026!
