+xHi all, I've joined to support my child who was convicted and sentenced this summer, thankfully without the worst case scenario it could have been. However, for the time being our bubble has been burst due to the arrival of opencourtdata.uk. I will post in the appropriate section of the forum in a moment, and hopefully help/or be helped by many people in similar circumstances. Thank you, Gloria Gaynor (laughing/crying in the same emoji if possible!) Hi Gloria, I loved her music so a good choice. I am writing this without reading your other post yet but no matter the offence, my words would more than likely be the same. Supporting a child is always hard, but in circumstances like these you will probably have many thoughts, and could even have questions or even try "blaming yourself" and doubting your child. Do not worry as that is normal but I am sure your natural instincts will soon if not already surfaced i.e. how can I best see my child through this period. Whatever the offence your child has unfortunately committed, try not to focus on the "what if or who will see anything" as you cannot control that. You can however control your own, and your son's, self belief to get through this and come out stronger and loving no matter what is published, said or thought. You have the support and experience of those here who have, and some who are still walking the path you have just join. My only pride I can say about that statement from my own personal experience, is that I have learnt a lot about society etc, but more importantly, about myself and I feel I am a better human for it. Keep strong and always have self belief.
Society suggests I must let go of all my expectations but I disagree, as whilst I have a voice, I have hope.
Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope is for tomorrow else what is left if you remove a mans hope. ------------------------------
This forum supports these words, thank you Unlock and your contributors.
