+x+x+x+xHi all and I am sorry for raising this question again but I do it again in the hope that some may of done this trip since my last asking. Basically I do a lot of wild camping in my van so rarely stay on a "camping site". In Dec I am hoping to drive through France to Portugal, then Spain etc for a couple of months so in other words getting away from the cold. My initial concern is stating where I will be staying for the first 3 nights - though in theory 1 will be on the ferry but I do not think I will get away with that. I'm on a budget so I will not be staying in a B&B etc. Has anyone else drove across and if so what info did you pass to your OM about the first 3 nights. Thank you Wouldn't it be easier just to ask your OM what info they require from you? Every OM is different, so other people's experiences won't necessarily tell you what your OM will accept. Hi I have done that with 2 different OM's and never get a reply as they say they do not know. Also they want to work on "actual dates / occassions" but I do not wish to book/pay for something that becomes unmanagable due to their demands and so lose money again! Thanks anyway But I'm also looking at others experience. Unlock's information and advice about this could be helpful. If they insist on knowing where you will be staying on your first night, just book a cheap chain hotel room (such as Formule 1 in France) so they can tick all their boxes. Hi Thanks for the France link. The last I saw it was the first 3 nights but the march 2023 Pt 2 guideance has changed. Seems a bit has changed the date of departure from the United Kingdom • the destination country • the point of arrival in that country • the points of arrival in any other countries being visited • dates of intended stay in any country being visited • the identify of carrier(s) the offender intends to use to leave and return to the United Kingdom, or to travel to any other point(s) of arrival outside the United Kingdom • details of the offender’s accommodation arrangements in any country being visited • date of return to the United Kingdom • point of arrival on return to the United Kingdom.
Society suggests I must let go of all my expectations but I disagree, as whilst I have a voice, I have hope.
Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope is for tomorrow else what is left if you remove a mans hope. ------------------------------
