Unfortunately they have a sort of protection surrounding them that unless you can get "public opinion" in your favour they can almost do anything with no come back.
Just so you do not think it is limited to those accused of a SO.
In 2016 my car was hit and written off by a "drug dealer" 4 police cars were pursuing. It appeared they had been following chasing him for a few hours. He was in a stolen car and so uninsured and as one of the Police said, I was in the wrong place at the right time.

I tried to claim compensation off them but the insurance company (aviva) said they couldn't. I will not bore you with all the problems I had sorting the mess out but it also affected my insurance renewals going forward.



Society suggests I must let go of all my expectations but I disagree, as whilst I have a voice, I have hope.

Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope is for tomorrow else what is left if you remove a mans hope.

The way I see it is that they're clearly misusing my data. Because I made a report in 2019, that's what led to the 2021 wrongful arrest and the March 28th 2025 visit. They're clearly profiling me and misusing my data because they are grasping at straws. It's classic textbook lazy policing. I have every right to make complaints, and take things further via the proper routes. I won't let it go because they can't let it go and leave me be. They keep harassing me and my family. As long as I'm on their local system, they will keep weaponizing my data to harass me and my family further. They only care about lining their pockets and harassing the vulnerable. I used to think police were meant to serve and protect the public but in actual reality they're the real threat. They don't serve and protect, instead they make false allegations, harass innocent people and always set out to incriminate you despite the fact you did nothing wrong. They are corrupt and that's both an opinion and a fact.

You're probably not going to appreciate this response, but sometimes you've just got to let things go, even if the other party are in the wrong. For your own peace of mind and well being.

My Dad sent them the camera footage and then we waited about a month to hear back from them and nothing happened. So I got my Dad to reach out to them via email for clarification as to whether or not I was a suspect and the person in charge of the case confirmed that I was not a suspect and that they were just doing their due diligence or someshit, thankfully we got it in writing. It's pretty contradictory to what happened on March 28th 2025 because why was it necessary to have 4 or 5 officers there repeatedly asking to come into my home? Why did they claim I matched the suspect description and when I asked what description they just said 'Your description' ? I've sent off a complaint about this to the IOPC, I don't expect to get much of a resolution from this seeing as the IOPC were useless in handling my complaint when I complained about the wrongful 2021 arrest over mistaken identity.

To provide update the police tried to rearrange days with my Dad to visit to review camera footage but on two occasions they didn't turn up and then offered to come at a time that didn't suit my Dad, so then instead they asked for my Dad to send them the footage online via Dropbox for the two dates, 24th March and 27th March.  Monday he sent the footage I think.

I don't know when the police will make their decision and let us know the outcome as to whether or not I've been ruled out.

Yeah I just think the whole situation is ludicrous and to be quite honest it's stressful to deal with.

Given what has happened before, I think you should make further complaints, contact the commissioner and your local MP. If doing all that does not stop it. Then take it to the local press, get a subject access request also.
But this just goes to show even more what state the police is in. Absolute cowards.

Note we only have footage that covers two out of three dates. We don't have footage for Feb 26th as its automatically deleted in the cloud after a month or so.

On Friday 28th 2025, five officers came to my door. My mum answered saying they want to speak to me. I had my mum as a witness while they spoke. They claimed I matched the description and that there has been reports of someone flashing again during Wednesday 26th February, March 24th and March 27th. My mum and me both said to them that I was at home and that we've got the camera footage to prove it. They did not arrest me but instead questioned me, I answered their questions and made it clear I was most likely at home on those dates. How could they have said I matched the description if they've never seen me before and despite the fact my appearance has drastically changed throughout the years? I no longer have long hair, I have it buzzed and I put on a load of weight. Originally the police were coming on 31st March to look at the camera footage but cancelled it and rescheduled it for April 7th at 10am. I feel like this is harassment from the police especially considering the fact that they keep coming here and making false accusations. Myself and my family have been considering making multiple complaints, getting the attention of the police commissioner in charge of both forces involved, and perhaps contacting the local MP and possibly the local press too. We have also been talking about sueing the police if this leads to another wrongful arrest once again. It's clearly mistaken identity. The police were on the phone to my Dad and claimed I'm not a suspect and they just want to rule me out but if this were true why did they claim I matched the description? Why did they come in a pack of five? Why did they ask to come in the house? When they asked to come in, me and my mum both said no.  We also explained the previous 2021 wrongful arrest incident and asked for an apology of which they did not give us, I have been thinking of filling out an A91 form once this is all over because of my previous wrongful arrest local record, that's why they came here. I'm willing to bet they're grasping at straws because they have no evidence, wasting valuable police time and resources trying to go after the wrong people while the actual culprit is still out there doing these things. If I don't get my local arrest record removed, then the way I see it as long as this guy is out there doing more flashing then the police will constantly assume it's me and keep coming to my house to hassle me and my family. Emphasising once again that what they're doing is harassment and I have no criminal record.
